Since 2007, Reach Out Grand Bahama has been a lifeline for at-risk and inner-city youth, and we’re just getting started.

founders

Born from the Community. Built for Its Future.

Reach Out Grand Bahama was founded in 2007 by Dudley and Katie Seide, two people who grew up understanding the challenges facing Grand Bahama’s youth firsthand. What started as a passion to give back has grown into one of the island’s most trusted nonprofits.

We serve at-risk and inner-city youth through mentorship, education, sports, nutrition, and disaster relief. When Hurricane Dorian devastated Grand Bahama in 2019, our team was among the first on the ground, feeding families, distributing supplies, and rebuilding hope.

We don’t just help young people survive. We help them believe in their own potential.

We need you

Help Us Build a Foundation That Storms Can't Shake.

Grand Bahama knows what it’s like to lose everything.

Hurricane Dorian destroyed homes, schools, churches, and community gathering places throughout the island.

That’s why Reach Out is building more than a youth center.

We are building a permanent home for mentorship, education, workforce development, recreation, disaster response, and community resilience.

This center will serve our youth every day and provide critical support when our community needs it most.

Every donation helps create a permanent home where Grand Bahama’s youth can learn, grow, and thrive.

What We Do

Programs That Change Lives

For nearly two decades, Reach Out Grand Bahama has provided mentorship, education, nutrition, recreation, and disaster relief to youth and families across our community.

Every program we operate today will have a permanent home inside the new Reach Out Youth Empowerment & Hurricane-Resilient Community Center.

Homework assistance, tutoring, literacy development, and academic enrichment for youth.

Youth Mentorship

Positive role models helping young people develop confidence, character, and leadership skills.

Sports & Recreation

Athletics and structured recreational activities that build teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyles.

Feed the Needy

Food distribution and nutrition assistance for vulnerable families throughout Grand Bahama.

Disaster Relief & Recovery

Emergency response, supplies, meals, and community support during times of crisis.

Community Giveaways

School supplies, toys, clothing, and seasonal outreach initiatives supporting families in need.

"Dudley, your consistent work reminds us all of the power of love, guidance, and care. Your commitment to mentoring and empowering our young people is a cornerstone of the brighter future we are building together. Let’s all find ways to uplift and support one another, just as Dudley does every day."
Phillip Brave Davis
Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas
